William J. (Bill) Bateman, Jr. (Founder) Chairman and CEO, Gowheels, Inc.  Bill Bateman is a retired President of Insured Benefit Design, Inc., where he spent 30 years as an Executive and Employee Benefit Sales and Consultant.  Bill has served on numerous boards at local religious and charitable organizations.  He first developed the idea for a better shopping cart in 2017 after pushing around a shaky shopping cart.  Since then, he has worked with a team of advisors to develop the concept, hired an engineering and manufacturing firm to build the first prototype, build a strong patent portfolio, established contacts and interests with large retain grocery chains and raised capital to fund the development efforts. Bill is a graduate of Campbell University, BSBA, and, until retiring, a member of the society of Chartered Life Underwriters (CLU). He is inventor on multiple U.S. patents, several international pending patents, and is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gowheels, Inc.
