Tatsuo Ito founded CLOVERNA (formerly called POiRT Systems), an RNA-targeted drug discovery platform, with a co-inventor in May 2019 after they won the grand prize for their technology at the 2nd Okayama Tech Plan Grand Prix. He is a molecular biologist with US citizenship who has held positions at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and the SCRIPPS Institute in San Diego.
