Dr. Ma Jian, co-founder and CEO of XtalPi, has been recognized as the Best CEO in China for AI New Drug Discovery and was named one of the “Top 35 Technology Innovators Under 35” by MIT Technology Review, China. Dr. Ma earned his Ph.D. in Physics from Zhejiang University in 2012. Subsequently, he undertook post-doctoral research at MIT from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, he co-founded XtalPi, a company committed to automation and intelligent drug discovery. To date, the company has raised nearly US$800 million in funding—a global record for AI drug discovery—positioning XtalPi as a leading startup in the AI pharmaceutical space.
