Giulia Massaccesi is a Mechanical Engineer who achieved a cum laude master’s degree from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Italy. She also has a master’s degree in Machine and Deep Learning.
She has been working for more than 6 years in the Research & Development department in Tetra Pak, a multinational company leader in its sector. Her main research area was Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring. The main scope is to predict mechanical components and process failures, avoiding wastes and reduce unplanned downtime, minimize maintenance costs, and extend the lifespan of equipment. She was responsible for managing a $10 Million per year customer benefit project. Her role was to technically lead these projects ranging from data collection and analysis to customer relationships management.
Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Hult International Business School in Boston. Moreover, she’s also the CTO of Graff Inc, a start-up that aims to recycle textile waste and to reduce the plastic usage of hangers by using a new sustainable material.
