Donmonique Chambliss is the Program Coordinator for the STEM Hub for Industry and Networking Exchange (S.H.I.N.E.) mentoring program which pairs college students from underrepresented ethnic and racial groups with mentors from the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. She developed a passion for reducing disparities within higher education and nutrition after experiencing how differently her peers navigated higher education and career development based on differing backgrounds and resources. A California native, she received her bachelors degree in Global Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Looking for an environmental change, she then went on to receive her Masters degree in Nutrition Interventions, Communication, and Behavior Change from the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University in Boston. Through these experiences, she gained the skillset needed to develop and manage community-based interventions.
