Aakash Shah, co-founder and CEO of High Time Foods, is a graduate of the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
Having grown up in a family of business owners in India, Aakash started his career at a food tech unicorn by working extensively with restaurants and selling technology solutions to them. With that experience and a keen sense of major market trends, he started and exited his first company, a ghost kitchen startup, where he led a team of 50 and increased his understanding of startups, food tech, and culinary sciences.
His experience witnessing the tremendous waste created by meat production, processing, and preparation in restaurants would leave a lasting impression on him. Surrounded by the realities of food insecurity brought on by climate change, he felt it was high time for him to do something about it.
After consulting with chefs looking to add more plant-based options to their menus, Aakash founded High Time Foods in 2021 to empower chefs globally with a nutritious, shelf-stable, cuisine-agnostic, plant-based meat alternative that’s better for people and the planet.
Aakash currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts, where High Time Foods is headquartered.
