Not only has this opened a completely new export channel, but it also created a new source of income for Afghan farmers– ultimately catalyzing economic development in Afghanistan. In fact, in the past year, Rumi’s farmers have had 10X growth in production! Kimberly was determined to prove that a social impact business could also be for-profit, and that’s exactly what she’s doing with her team at Rumi Spice.
