The Sustainability Collaborative was spurred as an outgrowth of the Sustainability unConference and aims to provide an ongoing platform for collaboration, connections, and solutions generation. Rotating sustainability advocates are given the chance to facilitate group discussion around central sustainability themes ranging from hunger alleviation to impact investing. The goal is to raise awareness within the innovation community while strengthening the social impact ecosystem.

Jennifer Lawrence is a Sustainability Planner with the City of Cambridge. Her focus is on community engagement, communications, climate adaptation and sustainable transportation.

Meet Jennifer at this month’s Sustainability Collaborative to talk about sustainable transportation in Cambridge, youth engagement including the Glocal Challenge and her summer internship program, which hires 30-40 young people in sustainability work, and various city initiatives to mitigate and prepare for climate change.
