Mike Sandman counsels SCORE Boston. He had a career in composites manufacturing and then became a consultant in the field of competitive intelligence. During his 25 years in manufacturing he developed materials ranging from Kevlar-reinforced sailcloth to fishing rods and radomes. He also ran a startup making closed-loop controls systems for production of sythnetic fiber. In his consulting work, he helped firms offering software for computer security, internet search, settop TV boxes, and workgroup collaboration as well as in products that ran the gamut from cheese to jet turbine blades.
