He has worked with Grammy Award-winning artists, Emmy Award-winning TV shows, NY Times best-selling authors, international government agencies, video games and more… He is also known for creating the first FPS (first person Soda drinking simulation) Soda Drinker Pro which has been featured on CNN, CNBC, Mashable, Game Informer, Kotaku, Wall Street Journal and hundreds of other media outlets and has is enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of soda simulation enthusiasts worldwide.
Umar Arshad, VP, Growth, Vuforia
Umar Arshad, VP, Growth, Vuforia: Umar is an experienced technologist with over 15 years bringing cutting-edge software products to market. Umar is currently VP of Growth at Vuforia, where he is focused on delivering and showcasing the value of AR to PTC’s customers. Prior to his current role, Umar was VP of Advanced Products at PTC, where he led a team of AR pioneers to develop next-gen AR technologies as part of PTC’s prestigious Office of the CTO. Before PTC Umar was CEO and co-founder of Waypoint Labs, an award-winning enterprise AR software company acquired by PTC in 2018. Umar has an MBA from MIT Sloan, a JD from GWU Law, and a BS in Computer Science from Virginia Tech.

Mike Festa created Wayfair’s research and development team, Wayfair Next, where he spearheads developments in augmented reality, virtual reality and 3D scanning. Mike is the Boston chapter president of the VR/AR Association.
Kat Schneider + Kachina Studer, Arrowstreet
Kat Schneider is an architectural and user interface designer with a deep research interest in computational design and VR/AR. Kachina Studer is a UX and Research Product Development Lead working with immersive technologies. Together they have facilitated the development of Arrowstreet’s Virtual Design Studio, an emerging research incubator centered around VR/AR technologies for design visualization and future impacts on the built environment.
Talal Ali Ahmad, Founder & CEO, Proximie
Talal is a successful entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in Telecommunications, Networking, cloud computing at high-tech startups . He is an Industry Leader and Growth Hacker who held various positions earlier in engineering and operations. In recent years, Talal has focused on the use of cutting-edge technology in SaaS, TeleHealth, and Augmented Reality (AR) to implement complex Healthcare solutions to benefit the well-being of patients across borders and continents.
Hillary Ashton, EVP, General Manager, Augmented Reality, PTC
Hillary Ashton is Executive Vice President and General Manager of PTC’s Augmented Reality (AR) business unit. In this role, she is responsible for all operational aspects of the Vuforia business and its product lines, including executive leadership and vision, strategy, sales, and marketing. Before joining PTC in 2018, Ms. Ashton served as SVP of Analytics SaaS solutions at Manthan. In this role, she was responsible for sales, channel strategy, presales, product marketing, and solution engineering. Prior to that role, Ms. Ashton served as Director, Customer Intelligence Sales at SAS, where she led the go-to-market strategy and sales support for US, Canada and Latin America for SAS’s 16 Customer Intelligence (CI) solutions. In each of these roles, she has contributed to expanding market share and increasing revenue.

Alex Schwartz, Indie, formerly CEO of Owlchemy Labs
Alex Schwartz is previously the Founder, CEO and Janitor of VR studio Owlchemy Labs, creators of Job Simulator and Rick and Morty VR for all major VR headsets. As founder, he grew the company, evangelized VR, and navigated a successful Google acquisition in 2017. He continues to speak, share knowledge, and organize communities in the games/VR space while smoking various meats in his backyard in Cambridge, MA.
Michael Levine, Founder & CEO, HappyGiant
Mike Levine is a veteran of LucasArts, and Founder & Creative Director of HappyGiant. Mike has been at the forefront of interactive narrative and gaming for the past two decades and has been laser focused on Augmented Reality the last several years.

Sean Halloran is game developer at Harmonix working on music and rhythm games for VR. His most recent game credits are for Rock Band VR and an untitled launch game for the Oculus Quest.

AR has traditionally been thought of as just an output paradigm where users can visualize virtual artifacts in the real world. This talk explores some of the ways AR can also be used as an input or data capture device to learn more about the environment and the objects and people within that environment.
