Make Things Happen: Innovation and Opportunities Around Cambridge
1:30 – 2:00 PM (ET)
Our flagship #ThursdayGathering is Boston’s weekly meeting point for entrepreneurs, researchers, mentors and investors, connecting to make things happen. Every week we’ll kickoff the event with a half-hour of informal conversations to highlight opportunities in the ecosystem, help connect you with the right people, or just say what’s up!
Hosted by Shaheen Hakimi, Director at Venture Café Cambridge
Fireside Chat: Mobilizing Equitable Vaccine Distribution
6:00 – 6:45 PM (ET)
Vaccine manufacturing is complicated and it can take months to make and package them. Given the thorough and lengthy protocols vaccines entail, this panel will shed light onto the hurdles — whether it is supply, confidence, or political — for a vaccine to be manufactured and eventually administered.
MedTech & Life Sciences Innovation Expo
6:45 – 7:30 PM (ET)
This networking session is an opportunity for Venture Cafe’s Sydney & Cambridge communities (but all welcome!) to network. There will be up to 14 MedTech & Life Science companies participating as featured startup demos.
The AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup
7:30 – 8:30 PM (ET)
The AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup is a global pitch competition for early-stage hardware startups with a $50,000 grand prize. The Hardware Cup Life Sciences semi-final will feature 6 promising physical product companies who will do a 3-minute pitch followed by a 3-minute Q&A with a panel of investor-judges. The judges will choose the winner of the Life Sciences track, who will win $3k and a spot at the International Finals for a shot at the $50k grand prize. Check out www.hardwarecup.com for more info.
8:30 – 9:30 PM (ET)
